The PALACE employs the geometry of the golden section to generate an intertwined set of curvilinear forms. The curvature of the staircases is produced as a series of 90 degree arcs that exponentially grow out from a central point.

A system of regularly spaced horizontal elements trace the rise of the staircase. These stepped timber bands wrap the vertical support poles that radiate out from the centres of the spirals arcs. The two sweeping staircases narrow and converge to a raised and enclosed platform.
