The CONTINUUM series considered the shaping of form as an expression of a field of forces. This idea was developed through the manipulation of stainless steel mesh in which tensile elements were carefully balanced to create the elastic transformation of surface planes into three dimensional objects.

A deeper understanding of the complexities of these topological surfaces was then made apparent through the use of computer modelling programs. The pieces were designed to interact with the dynamics of architectural space, either as fields of geometrically arranged arrays, or as monolithic floating forms that challenge the existing architectural order.
