In the third iteration of the RMIT University alumni reunion event, graduates from the School of Architecture and Design were joined by their colleagues from the School of Art, the School of Fashion and Textiles, and the School of Media and Communication. The exhibition and conference was developed and produced by Sand Helsel, Ross McLeod, Charles Dewanto and Gyungju Chyon from RMIT in collaboration with RMIT graduates, Taek Soo Kim and Carl Hong, who are based in Seoul.

The Design Life Seoul event explored how designers from across all disciplines shape our lives. Through a sophisticated understanding of Korean culture the Design Life exhibition, lectures and tours provided a spirit of connection between traditional and modernised ways of thinking. This hybridisation of advanced technology with traditional heritage defines modern Seoul, creating an impetus for design that is unprecedented in the world.

Korean based design practices who presented there work over the weekend included MOTOelastico, Kim Been, Ctoptos, DOES, Sabo space and Cloud & Co.
