The Family range was originally designed for Art to Art, who are based in Hangzhou China. The collection of ceramic tableware was developed through an exploration of circular and eliptical geometries. The pieces conic forms were manifest through the tracing of planar geometries that traversed perimeter arcs. This technique elicited a vast array of utilitarian forms; from salt and pepper shakers, vases, sugar bowls, soy and vinegar pourers, tea pots, coffee filters, cups, plates and bowls. This family of forms were defined by the contrasting black and white ceramic glazes that defined the sharp angularity of their profiles. The collection sought to traverse the table ware needs and aesthetics of both eastern and western tastes.
