INTERsection
Edited by Ross McLeod and Suzie Attiwill
INTERsection presents a selection of the diverse yet interconnected topics of postgraduate research conducted by Interior Design at RMIT. The publication provides an insight into the cross-disciplinary and multivalent nature of the work that has been produced and the environment of enquiry that has promoted it.
The masters by project program
within RMIT Interior Design has attracted a diverse body of students.
The group has included architects, interior designers, installation
and performance artists, theatre designers, film-makers and cyber technicians.
Each of these practitioners and the research they have undertaken have
brought a new dimension to the definition of spatial design and its
potential.
INTERsection is a timely document for those interested
in the boundaries of spatial discourse and the potentials that lie within
the expansion of the philosophies and methodologies which distinguish
the practice of Interior Design.
